Flight

Hope and fear, love and pain, suffering and surrender contrast each other in dynamic rhythms opening a dialogue for the soul. This theme started to crystalize into a body of work ten years ago with the painting "Angel Amazona". She was first a hummingbird woman opening her wings, but a more inclusive image emerged: one including the Amazon rainforest and the need to protect this perishable resource. At the same time I began a series of etchings dealing with loss and resurrection. Recently, I completed a new series of monotype prints called "Flight", to once again process the journey of the soul through conflict to discovery.
